Cafe Caudal: A Hangout Place in the East

We all love to catch up and hangout with our friends, right?

Perhaps, talking and laughing with your buddies while taking a good sip of coffee.

Imagine sitting in the circle of your friends with set of great foods served right in front of you!

I couldn’t agree more that those moments are precious! Nothing beats good thoughts plus mouth watering foods on top of it. Lit! As what millennials says.

Last week, I had the chance to visit a cafe in the east. It is located at Lot 1-C, Manila East Road, Barangay San Juan, Taytay, Rizal. Just a few steps from the infamous tiangge in Taytay.

Cafe Caudal is owned by Karen Caudal, a former nurse at St. Lukes Medical Center. Obviously, the name of the cafe is derived from her family name. She initially took up hotel and restaurant management then eventually decided to put up such cafe perhaps with the influence of her mom who is a chef.

The interior

The owner wanted their customers to just feel at home. As much as possible, the design of the interior are simply with a touch of home. I really like the combination of black and red. It’s so classy!

It has a great ambiance, perfect for study sessions and formal business meetings. Everything is so relaxing and calm. The highlight is the at home feeling; it feels like everything is personal.

Of course, cafe experience would not be completed without foods! Cafe Caudal offers cake, coffee, snacks, frappe, smoothies, etc. During my visit, they served me few of their best sellers. From cake, to frappe, to crunchy nachos.

Tres Leches. Cafe Caudal’s best seller cake. It’s a chiffon cake soaked in three kinds of milk.

This is kind of a legit tres leches! The base cake is so milky, creamy and the sweetness is just enough.

Blended Java non-coffee frappe

Non-coffee chocolate frappe; tres leches; nachos

The nachos gives a balancing effect to the sweetness of the cake and of the frappe. The serving is so generous that it is definitely good for sharing!

A note pinned at the cafe’s cork board written by a customer. What a sweet act! It says “We would like to thank your staff Gerald for the kind gesture he have shown us fetching us with an umbrella from the car to the cafe’s doorstep on a heavy rain”

Aside from awesome foods, what separates Cafe Caudal from others is their kind and welcoming crews. Everyone greets whenever a customer comes in. They are all in smiles. Photo attached above shows an instance. Plus take note that they are preparing their ingredients themselves. In fact, they are getting their coffee all the way from the good province of Bukidnon.

Overall, this cafe is worth a penny! A quick visit can cost around 200php. It’s good that you’ll really get what you pay for. It is a perfect place to kill the stress and get away from the clutters of the metro.

So, get up and go taste for yourself! Cafe Caudal opens 9am until 12mn. Bring your squad!
